2019 Strings 'Play-For-A-Day'

Saturday, 19th October
Newent Community Centre,

10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Members of the Newent Orchestra invite other players to join them for this day exploring and playing a selection of music for strings, conducted by Bill Anderton.

£10 (members, £8)

Music and tea/coffee will be provided – just bring your music stand and a packed lunch. There is ample car parking and local shops; cafes and pubs will be open during your lunch break.

Music for the day:

The Play-For-A-Day music contains a wealth of interest to string players in terms of style, technique and ensemble playing. Take this opportunity to improve your sight reading and enjoy some great music in a friendly supportive atmosphere.
All the music will be available on the day, but some music (not arrangements) is available for free download from www.imslp.org.
