Here is your introduction to
Rehearsal Live Share
Newent Orchestra members have been using a new app for meeting online for rehearsal called Rehearsal Live Share (RLS). You may well know that Zoom has its limitations for music making, namely the audio quality and the problem of delay, or 'latency', between individual parts.
RLS will transform your online music making. It works for up to 30 participants and can be used for personal rehearsal, too, i.e., on your own. The sound quality is superb and it offers a unique feature of synchronised playing and recording of sound and video. Interested? Go to the Rehearsal Live Share website, www.rehearsalliveshare.com and download the app - it's free. Note that it is essential to use headphones with RLS when you take part in a rehearsal. Here is a recommendation on Amazon which costs £12.96: Sony Headphones. You'll also need an extension cable with these which is £2.99: Extension Cable. With this setup, the sound will be great and this set is comfortable and lightweight - and the white ones are quite stylish! |
